Most people think of chiropractic care when considering back and neck pain, but it can actually be helpful for treating a variety of chronic conditions. Chronic conditions either are long-standing or have no cure and can lead to a lifetime of pain. Left unmanaged, these disorders reduce a person’s quality of life. In many cases it leaves them disabled and unable to work or enjoy life. This is why finding ways to manage the symptoms of a chronic condition is so important.
One common factor in patients with chronic conditions is stress on the nervous system. This is sometimes called pinched nerves and is caused by misalignments of the spine. Any joint of the body can become misaligned and cause nerve pressure and discomfort or pain. A visit to the chiropractor for evaluation and treatment of spinal and other joint misalignments can alleviate stress on the spine and nervous system and help the body heal. Body function is improved and the immune system becomes stronger. Though the chronic condition is not cured, the patient is better equipped to deal with symptoms, including the pain and weakened immune system that so often accompanies these conditions.
Chiropractic care can help with a variety of chronic conditions including allergies and asthma, carpal tunnel syndrome, Bell’s Palsy, Fibromyalgia, plantar fasciitis, and anxiety. If you or someone you love is suffering from a chronic condition and conventional medications are not an option, contact Neville Chiropractic for a consultation 919-967-7887.
